Faculty & Staff Giving
Since 2015, the generous support from SIT colleagues through Faculty & Staff Giving has helped many of our students overcome financial challenges and make the most of their learning opportunities at SIT. Our collective giving reflects our shared commitment to the future of our students and the University.
As the new Academic Year (AY) 2025/26 begins, we warmly invite you to continue this meaningful support, whether through the SIT Bursary or other student-focused funds that nurture academic growth and enrich the student experience. Together, we can nurture our students and help them build a stronger future.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the SIT Bursary?
The SIT Bursary, valued at $3,000 each, is one of the most accessible forms of financial aid at SIT. It is open to financially disadvantaged students (Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents) who come from households with a monthly per capita income of no more than $850.
The bursary also supports the SIT’s Forward SITizen Initiative (FSI), which aims to provide full tuition-fee support for the most financially needy group of undergraduate students at SIT. Click here to find out more.
-
Why should I give?
Giving is a personal choice and every gift, no matter the size, reflects our belief in our students and their potential. By supporting the Faculty & Staff Giving, we also inspire others – foundations, corporations and donors and the community to stand behind SIT students.
Whether through the SIT Bursary or other student-focused funds, your support helps ease financial stress and creates a nurturing environment where students can focus, thrive and grow.
Many SIT Bursary recipients juggle part-time work and family responsibilities while pursuing their education. Your contribution lightens their financial load, giving them the freedom to concentrate on their studies and chase their dreams.
-
What are some of the benefits of giving?
Singapore tax residents will receive 2.5 times tax deduction for gifts made between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2029. If your gift is $10 and above, it will be submitted to IRAS for automatic tax deduction.
-
How much should I give?
Every gift makes a difference, no matter the amount. What truly matters is your participation.
When we come together, small acts can create a big impact. For example, just 20 colleagues giving $150 each can fund one SIT Bursary and open doors for a student in need. A minimum gift of $10 is all it takes to start making a difference.
-
How can I terminate or revise my existing recurring gift?
If you would like to terminate or revise your existing payroll recurring gift amount, please contact us at [email protected]. Kindly include your full name and details of your request, and our team will be happy to assist with the next steps.
In Appreciation
The Faculty & Staff Giving initiative at SIT continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of our faculty and staff community, with 1 in 3 colleagues supporting the programme in calendar year 2025.
Every contribution, whether through direct donations or participation in SITizen Run, helps empower our students and strengthen our community.
As at 23 July 2026, 286 faculty and staff donors have contributed to the programme. We are pleased to recognise and celebrate their generosity below, while respecting the wishes of 135 donors who have chosen to remain anonymous. Thank you for making a difference!
